Helium (He) is an inert gas with extremely strong chemical inertness and limited natural resources. Under standard environmental temperature and pressure, it is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable and non-toxic monatomic gas.
Liquid helium is currently the lowest temperature among the commercially available cryogenic fluids. Due to its extremely low boiling point and high volatility, special insulated transportation containers and low-temperature storage equipment must be used during transportation, handling and storage to minimize product evaporation loss.
